EURUSD Daily Regime, 5 November 2026

Regime: Higher-timeframe bearish structure, with a short-term recovery now meeting resistance. The reference price is 1.1228, from the M5 close at 23:00 UTC on 4 November.

W1 and D1 structure

Observation: The completed weekly sequence remains bearish. EURUSD fell from the August high at 1.17111 to 1.11040 in late October, with successive lower highs and lower lows. The latest completed week closed at 1.11567, below the prior week's 1.12019 close. Weekly resistance is concentrated around 1.12604 to 1.12764, followed by 1.13909. Weekly support sits at 1.11040 to 1.11125.

The daily chart is recovering from 1.11040. The last three completed daily candles closed at 1.11870, 1.11910, and 1.12286. On 4 November, price reached 1.12726 but surrendered most of the advance before the close. That candle broke above the recent 1.12144 and 1.12366 highs intraday, then closed back below 1.12366.

Inference: The daily recovery has weakened the immediate bearish trend, but it hasn't reversed the weekly structure. The rejection from 1.12726 places EURUSD in a corrective, two-sided regime rather than a clean bullish continuation.

H4 and H1 condition

Observation: H4 rallied sharply from 1.11832 to 1.12726, then reversed through 1.12470 and traded as low as 1.12127. The final completed H4 candle closed at 1.12286. On H1, the afternoon decline was interrupted by a rebound from 1.12127 to 1.12391, but sellers returned and the final two hourly closes were 1.12286 and 1.12280.

Inference: H4 momentum has shifted from expansion higher to consolidation after rejection. H1 is balanced near 1.1228, with neither side controlling the close. Price is sitting below the 1.12350 to 1.12392 rebound area, so buyers still need to repair the late-session damage before the 1.12726 high can come back into play.

Latest M5 development

Observation: After the latest completed H1 period began at 22:00 UTC, M5 opened lower at 1.12221 and tested 1.12220. That support test has already happened. Price recovered to 1.12291, then closed at 1.12280 at 23:00 UTC. No completed M5 candle is supplied after that H1 close.

Inference: The recovery from 1.12220 prevented an immediate extension lower, but it stopped beneath 1.12300 and didn't restore bullish intraday momentum. The latest condition is compression between roughly 1.1222 and 1.1230.

Levels and remaining scenarios

  • Resistance: 1.12300 to 1.12321, 1.12350 to 1.12392, 1.12580 to 1.12630, then 1.12726.
  • Support: 1.12220, 1.12142 to 1.12127, 1.11832 to 1.11870, then 1.11747 and 1.11040.
  • Bullish path: Acceptance above 1.12392 would repair the immediate H1 structure and reopen 1.12580 to 1.12630, followed by the rejected 1.12726 high. A sustained break above 1.12726 would be needed to turn the daily recovery into a stronger structural challenge.
  • Bearish path: A fresh move below the already-tested 1.12220 support would expose 1.12142 to 1.12127. Failure there would confirm that the 4 November rejection is extending, with 1.11870 to 1.11832 as the next meaningful support zone.
  • Range path: Continued trade between 1.12220 and 1.12392 would keep the market neutral on H1 while the broader weekly bias remains bearish.

Event risk

  • 5 November, 13:30 UTC: US Initial Jobless Claims, high importance.
  • 5 November, 16:00 UTC: ECB President Lagarde speech, high importance.

Both events can disrupt the current compression. The US release arrives while price is close to intraday support, and the ECB speech follows with EUR-specific headline risk.

Session Card

Day type: range | Lean: mildly bullish above 1.12220 | Lead scenario: acceptance above 1.12392, 40% | Key invalidation: 1.12220 | Reference: 1.12329, M5 close at 2026-11-04 23:30 UTC

What changed

The latest completed H1 candle closed at 1.12280 at 23:00 UTC. Over the next six completed M5 candles, EURUSD rose from 1.12280 to 1.12329 and traded as high as 1.12336. The move cleared the earlier 1.12300 to 1.12321 resistance on completed closes, but it happened before the Asia opening and remains context rather than a trigger for this preparation.

The earlier 1.12220 support test held, and price now sits between that defended low and the 1.12350 to 1.12392 rebound resistance. This improves the immediate tone without repairing the H1 rejection from 1.12726. Acceptance above 1.12392 is needed before the recovery has room toward 1.12470 and higher resistance.

The comparable 4 November session warns that an opening break can run without giving the required retest. That outcome doesn't justify chasing. The 3 November case also showed that a correct opening rejection can reverse before reaching an exact objective, so the nearest opposition remains binding. The accepted daily regime stays intact; this phase preparation only flags where the short-term recovery would strengthen or fail.

Scenario Map

ScenarioWeightTriggerPath & targetInvalidation
Acceptance above 1.1239240%From 00:00 UTC, require two consecutive M5 closes above 1.12392. Within the next three M5 bars, price must retest 1.12372 to 1.12392, a 2 pip tolerance around the broken boundary, without closing below 1.12372, then confirm the hold with one M5 close at or above 1.12395. Entry: 1.12395-1.12410 after the hold close. A confirmation outside the budget is passed. Expiry: 07:30 UTC.First opposition: 1.12470, the breakdown origin from the afternoon H1 decline. From the worst entry at 1.12410, gross room is 6.0 pips against 5.5 pips to the stop. If 1.12470 clears, the next target zone is 1.12580-1.12630, combining the nearby H1, H4 and weekly resistance components.Scenario close invalidation: two consecutive M5 closes below 1.12372 after confirmation. Structural stop: 1.12355, below the retest tolerance and reclaimed 1.12392 boundary.
Rejection beneath 1.1239235%From 00:00 UTC, price must trade into 1.12350 to 1.12392 and close below 1.12340 on M5. Within the next three M5 bars, it must retest 1.12340 to 1.12360 and fail with one M5 close at or below 1.12335. Context-only, no entry. Expiry: 07:30 UTC.First opposition: 1.12300-1.12321 target zone, the resistance cleared before the opening and the nearest likely support on a reversal. The short distance to that zone doesn't support a structural stop above 1.12392 after unknown costs.Structural invalidation: one M5 close above 1.12392. No executable stop and entry budget provide defensible room to the first opposition.
Fresh break below 1.1222025%From 00:00 UTC, require two consecutive M5 closes below 1.12220. Within the next three M5 bars, price must retest 1.12220 to 1.12240 and fail with one M5 close at or below 1.12215. Entry: 1.12200-1.12215 after the failed-reclaim close. A confirmation outside the budget is passed. Expiry: 07:30 UTC.First opposition: 1.12127-1.12142 target zone, combining the H1 and H4 reaction lows. From the worst short entry at 1.12200, gross room is 5.8 pips against 5.5 pips to the stop. If the entire zone fails, 1.11832-1.11870 is the next target zone from the daily low and recovery base.Scenario close invalidation: two consecutive M5 closes above 1.12240 after confirmation. Structural stop: 1.12255, above the full failed-reclaim band and the opening rebound structure.

Spread and slippage weren't supplied. The room figures are gross. Check actual costs at the decision point and pass either executable candidate if costs remove defensible room to its first opposition.

Key Levels

  • 1.12350-1.12392: Immediate rebound resistance. Acceptance above its upper edge repairs the short-term H1 structure.
  • 1.12470: First structural opposition above confirmed acceptance.
  • 1.12580-1.12630: Higher resistance cluster from the prior advance and weekly structure.
  • 1.12300-1.12321: Cleared before the phase opening and now the nearest support on a rejection.
  • 1.12220: Already-tested support and the key phase boundary.
  • 1.12127-1.12142: First downside target zone from the afternoon reaction lows.
  • 1.11832-1.11870: Separate daily and H4 support zone if 1.12127 to 1.12142 fails.
  • 1.12726: Daily rejection high. Sustained trade above it would challenge the accepted bearish regime, but this preparation doesn't change that regime.

Session Map

  • 00:00-01:30 UTC: Tokyo cash opens at 09:00 Asia/Tokyo, which is 00:00 UTC. Treat the pre-opening rise through 1.12321 as context and wait for a fresh in-window sequence.
  • 01:30-05:00 UTC: Hong Kong and Shanghai cash open at 09:30 local time, which is 01:30 UTC. Use only the complete close and bounded-retest conditions in the Scenario Map.
  • 05:00-07:30 UTC: Require the first opposition to remain ahead of the full entry budget. Pass a move that has already reached its target or misses the permitted retest window.
  • 07:30-08:00 UTC: No new entry. Manage an existing plan only. Every incomplete candidate expires at 08:00 UTC.

No supplied high-importance event falls inside the Asia window. The 13:30 UTC US release and 16:00 UTC ECB speech are outside this phase and don't justify an Asia entry.

No-Trade Conditions

Do not initiate while completed M5 candles rotate between 1.12240 and 1.12372 without completing a prepared sequence. A wick through a boundary, one qualifying close, or an unbounded later retest isn't enough.

Pass any confirmation outside its entry budget, after 07:30 UTC, or after the first opposition has traded. A decisive reclaim through a candidate's close invalidation cancels it. Any later break must start a new confirmation sequence. Unknown transaction costs that erase the already narrow gross room also mean no entry.

What to Watch — Invalidation

Holding above 1.12321 keeps pressure on 1.12350 to 1.12392, but only completed acceptance above 1.12392 repairs the immediate H1 damage. Failure back through 1.12321 shifts attention to the already-tested 1.12220 boundary. A fresh confirmed break below 1.12220 would end the mild bullish lean and expose 1.12127 to 1.12142. Above, sustained trade through 1.12726 would challenge the accepted daily regime rather than merely extend the Asia recovery.

The mildly bullish lean was correct because 1.11832 to 1.11840 held, but none of the three exact scenario triggers completed. The market broke and ran. Targets reached during that unconfirmed extension were context, not successful follow-through. The lead setup was too far below the opening market to activate. Historical review excerpt: “Asia remained a range, trading from 1.11766 to 1.12062 before closing at 1.11978. The bearish rotation was useful early: price rejected the opening push through 1.11929 and fell to within 0.1 pip of 1.11765. It then recovered and stopped the lead resistance-rejection path before that target traded. The exact preparation is a Miss. Resistance rejection was the only branch to complete its conditional trigger, and it failed. The support-breakdown and recovery branches never triggered. Execution remains unassessable under the frozen replay's ambiguous-rule decision, so this isn't an executable los” Lesson from that review: “The resistance zone identified the opening turn, but the target was too exact to award. A low of 1.11766 doesn't satisfy a 1.11765 objective, and the later stop makes the conditional branch a clear failure. The bounded-retest rule also mattered. The first completed confirmation closed at 1.11864, below the stated entry budget. Even without the frozen ambiguity ruling, a later return toward the bud”

The lead setup exposed a reset ambiguity. Price first failed through support, later reclaimed it, and then produced the required qual”
