EURUSD daily regime, 3 November 2026
Regime
EURUSD remains bearish on the weekly structure, while the daily chart is attempting a corrective recovery from the 1.11040 area. The correction has not changed the broader trend. Monday's rally reached 1.12366 but closed at 1.11870, leaving a long upper wick and showing that buyers couldn't hold the breakout through the late October range.
The reference price is 1.11872 from the M5 close at 23:00 UTC on 2 November.
Structure
W1 observation: Completed weeks show a sequence of lower highs from 1.17111 in August, followed by lower lows into 1.11040 during the week ending 31 October. That latest week closed bearish at 1.11567. Weekly resistance sits at 1.12262, then 1.12604 to 1.12691. The main weekly support is 1.11040, with 1.11125 forming part of the same support area.
D1 observation: The 2 November candle rallied from 1.11453 to 1.12366 and closed at 1.11870. It recovered the previous daily close but surrendered more than half of its intraday advance. The high cleared 1.12262 and the 30 October high at 1.12144, yet price failed to close above either level.
Inference: The daily bounce has interrupted immediate downside momentum, but the rejection above 1.12262 keeps it corrective. A sustained close above 1.12366 would be needed before the recovery could challenge the broader bearish structure around 1.12604 to 1.12691.
H4 and H1 condition
H4 advanced from 1.11453 to 1.12366 during the first half of 2 November, then reversed through successive lower closes to finish at 1.11870. The final H4 candle closed near its 1.11867 low. This leaves H4 momentum pointed lower after a failed push through resistance.
H1 confirms the reversal. After the 09:00 UTC high at 1.12366, price formed lower intraday highs and fell back through 1.12000. The final completed H1 candle opened at 1.11776, traded between 1.11765 and 1.11911, and closed at 1.11872. The late recovery softened the selloff but did not reclaim the preceding H1 breakdown area at 1.11929 to 1.12028.
Latest M5 developments
The break below 1.11867 has already occurred. After the 22:00 UTC H1 close at 1.11870, M5 reopened at 1.11776, touched 1.11765, then rebounded to 1.11911. That rebound stalled, and the final M5 candle closed at 1.11872. The immediate condition is therefore consolidation after a downside break and partial recovery, not an untriggered test of 1.11867.
Levels and remaining scenarios
- Immediate resistance: 1.11911, then 1.11929 to 1.12028. Holding above 1.12028 would improve the short-term condition and expose 1.12218, followed by 1.12366.
- Major resistance: 1.12262 to 1.12366. Acceptance above this area would weaken the bearish regime and bring 1.12604 to 1.12691 into view.
- Immediate support: 1.11765. A fresh move below it would confirm that the late rebound failed and expose 1.11453.
- Major support: 1.11453, then 1.11361 and 1.11040. A close below 1.11040 would extend the weekly downtrend.
The working bias is bearish to rotational while price remains below 1.12028, with the stronger bearish case intact below 1.12366. The bullish alternative requires sustained trade back above 1.12028 and then a clean recovery through 1.12366. Until that happens, rallies are corrective within the larger decline.
Event risk
The 2 November ISM Manufacturing PMI and ISM Manufacturing Prices Paid releases at 15:00 UTC occurred before the cutoff. The next supplied high-importance event is US JOLTS Job Openings at 15:00 UTC on 3 November. That event can disrupt either scenario, particularly if EURUSD is still compressed between 1.11765 and 1.12028.

Session Card
Day type: range | Lean: bearish rotation below 1.12028 | Lead scenario: resistance rejection, 40% | Key invalidation: 1.12028 | Reference: 1.11873, M5 close at 2026-11-02 23:30 UTC
What changed
The latest completed H1 candle closed at 1.11872 at 23:00 UTC. Since that close, M5 slipped from 1.11875 to 1.11835, then recovered to the 1.11873 reference close. Price neither broke the 1.11765 rebound low nor reclaimed the 1.11911-1.11929 resistance zone.
The earlier break below 1.11867 and the rebound from 1.11765 are completed context. The market now enters Asia compressed between 1.11765 and 1.11929 after Monday's rejection from 1.12366. This leaves the short-term condition rotational, with rallies still corrective while 1.12028 caps completed closes.
The selected 29 October case warns that a range call can become a whipsaw when an opening break reverses and later resets. The selected 27 October case shows that compressed trade can still resolve lower once support becomes resistance. Those cases don't establish a repeat. They support requiring a bounded retest and treating any confirmation outside its entry budget as passed.
Scenario Map
| Scenario | Weight | Trigger | Path & target | Invalidation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Resistance rejection | 40% | After publication and from 00:00 UTC, price must trade into 1.11911-1.11929, then complete one M5 close below 1.11900. Within the next two M5 bars, it must retest 1.11900-1.11920 and confirm failure with one M5 close at or below 1.11900. Entry: 1.11885-1.11900 after that failed-reclaim close. A confirmation outside the budget is passed. Expiry: 07:30 UTC. | First opposition: 1.11765, the latest H1 and M5 rebound low. From the worst permitted entry at 1.11885, gross room is 12.0 pips against 6.0 pips to the stop. If 1.11765 fails through the downside confirmation below, 1.11622 is the next separate target. | Scenario close invalidation: two consecutive M5 closes above 1.11940 after confirmation. Structural stop: 1.11945, above the failed-reclaim band and the 1.11929 resistance component. |
| Support breakdown | 35% | After publication and from 00:00 UTC, require two consecutive M5 closes below 1.11765. Within the next three M5 bars, price must retest 1.11765-1.11785 and fail with one M5 close at or below 1.11760. Entry: 1.11745-1.11760 after that close. A confirmation outside the budget is passed. Expiry: 07:30 UTC. | First opposition: 1.11622, the low of Monday's early H1 advance. From the worst permitted entry at 1.11745, gross room is 12.3 pips against 6.0 pips to the stop. Beyond it, 1.11453 is the next separate target from Monday's daily low. | Scenario close invalidation: two consecutive M5 closes above 1.11785 after confirmation. Structural stop: 1.11805, above the full retest band and broken support. |
| Recovery through 1.12028 | 25% | After publication and from 00:00 UTC, require two consecutive M5 closes above 1.12028. Within the next three M5 bars, price must retest 1.12008-1.12028 without closing below 1.12008, then confirm the hold with one M5 close at or above 1.12030. Entry: 1.12030-1.12045 after that hold close. A confirmation outside the budget is passed. Expiry: 07:30 UTC. | First opposition: 1.12144, the 30 October daily high. From the worst permitted entry at 1.12045, gross room is 9.9 pips against 5.0 pips to the stop. If 1.12144 clears, 1.12218 is the next separate target. | Scenario close invalidation: two consecutive M5 closes below 1.12008 after confirmation. Structural stop: 1.11995, below the retest band and reclaimed 1.12000 area. |
Spread, slippage and financing costs weren't supplied. They must be checked at entry and deducted from the stated gross room. If costs remove defensible room to the first opposition, pass the candidate.
Key Levels
- 1.11911-1.11929: Immediate resistance zone, combining the rebound high and the preceding H1 breakdown close. The component gap is within the supplied 0.0003315 grouping limit.
- 1.12028: Phase invalidation for the bearish lean and the upper edge of the late H1 breakdown area.
- 1.11765: Immediate support and the low of the completed late rebound.
- 1.11622: First downside objective below 1.11765, from Monday's early H1 pullback.
- 1.11453: Monday's daily low and a separate downside objective.
- 1.12144: First structural resistance after a confirmed recovery through 1.12028.
- 1.12218: Separate upside objective from the afternoon H4 high. Its gap from 1.12144 exceeds the grouping limit.
- 1.12366: Monday's rejection high. Acceptance above it would pressure the accepted bearish daily regime, but this preparation doesn't change that regime.
Session Map
- 00:00-01:30 UTC: Tokyo cash opens at 09:00 Asia/Tokyo, which is 00:00 UTC. Hong Kong cash opens at 09:30 Asia/Hong_Kong, which is 01:30 UTC. Let opening liquidity test a boundary; a wick or single unconfirmed break isn't actionable.
- 01:30-05:00 UTC: Use only the complete close and bounded-retest sequences in the Scenario Map. Opposing branches may activate sequentially, but each new break needs its own confirmation.
- 05:00-07:30 UTC: Require remaining room to the first opposition. Pass late confirmation if the target has already traded or the entry budget is missed.
- 07:30-08:00 UTC: Manage an existing entry only. All untriggered or incomplete candidates expire at 08:00 UTC.
No supplied high-importance event falls inside the Asia window.
No-Trade Conditions
Do not initiate while completed M5 candles remain trapped between 1.11765 and 1.11911. Stand aside after opposing confirmed breaks if neither bounded retest holds, or when the required retest arrives after its bar limit. A decisive reclaim through a candidate's close invalidation cancels it; any later break is a new candidate.
Pass an entry outside its stated budget, after 07:30 UTC, or after its first opposition has already traded. Unknown transaction costs at the decision point also mean no entry.
What to Watch — Invalidation
Two consecutive M5 closes above 1.12028 would invalidate the phase bearish lean and shift attention to the recovery branch. Failure back below 1.12008 after confirmation would cancel that candidate rather than leave it waiting for another retest. Below 1.11765, sellers still need the stated failed reclaim before continuation is actionable. A later recovery above 1.12366 would challenge the accepted daily regime, while an Asia move beneath 1.11453 would expose 1.11361 as the next separate structural support.

The breakdown path captured that directional structure, but its confirmation closed outside the stated entry budget and its deeper target remained unfinished. The lead setup exposed a reset ambiguity. Price first failed through support, later reclaimed it, and then produced the required qual”
